Tom McElhinny, Partner, joined the family owned agency in June 1989.  He started as a file clerk during the summers, and worked his way through customer service and sales.  Tom currently oversees sales, account management, and underwriting.  He is a member of the Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) & the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC), which is recognized nationally as a symbol of professional excellence & leadership in the industry.  He has served his fellow ERIE agents in being the Proprietor of the Fort Pitt Coffee House meeting group & represented all the Warrendale Branch agents as their Agents Advisory Representative.  In his AAC position, he served as the liaison between agents and upper management of the ERIE.  Tom enjoys hockey, golf, and tennis in his spare time, along with spending time with his family.  He has been a youth hockey coach in the Pittsburgh area for years coaching young kids to high school age players.
