WHAT MEDICARE WON’T DO FOR YOU

The government-provided health insurance policy known as

Medicare gives Americans over 65 a certain level of coverage,

but it certainly does not cover all costs. For instance, Medicare

does not provide coverage for dental care, which poses a

potential problem for seniors with dentures. Nor does Medicare

cover vision care, whether it is a matter of routine eye exams or

providing eyeglasses/contact lenses. As far as long-term care is

concerned, Medicare does not cover custodial care (including

daily living assistance) either in an assisted-living facility or at

home. However, it may pay for certain items that are deemed to

be medically necessary. To fill in any coverage gaps, seniors

must turn to “Medigap” coverage, provided from private

insurers.

Our senior product portfolio contains a full range of life and

health insurance products. For all your insurance questions call
